Aylmeri Anklets were developed by Guy Aylmeri in the early 1900s.  The late hood and falconry equipment maker Rob Coleman took these anklets and added lizard to make them unique.  We took inspiration from those and created our own unique processes to produce precision cut lizard and added that to our high quality Aylmeri Anklets making a stylish but highly functioning pair of Anklets. 

We start with premium quality kangaroo and precision cut the exact size Aylmeri Anklet to fit your bird.  The lizard is cut to precisely fit to these anklets.  Our anklets are precisely symmetrical, the edge cuts perfectly spaced and aligned giving them a high-end aesthetic appeal.   Our anklets look as good as the function.  With our anklets you will always have a uniform edge around the grommet to be sure the grommet never rubs on your birds leg.  Once you see our precision cut Aylmeri Anklets you will appreciate the quality craftsmanship.

Our Aylmeri Anklets are available in three colors: Natural (tan), Black or Brown.  The anklets come rolled, greased with a jess grease, and grommets are included. We stock a wide variety of lizard colors.  If you would like a color we don’t currently offer, contact us and we may be able to get it for you.

Our anklets are available in a wide range of precision sizes.  We offer 4 widths (A – 1/2”, B – 5/8”, C – 3/4”, D – 1”) and 36 lengths in 1/16” (.125”) increments for an exact fit to your birds leg.  See the table below for measurements to fit your bird.  Check out our video tutorial on how to measure your birds leg to find the perfect size anklet.  Please remember that we recommend going up one or two sizes from your measurement to insure the anklet can rotate freely.

Note:  A grommet setter or a pair of grommet pliers are required to set Aylmeri Anklets and are not included.
